An early 20th century French Louis XV style marble top marquetry side table or nightstand, finely crafted of inlaid veneers of mahogany, rosewood and walnut over oak. Tambour door above cabinet doors with working lock and key opening to one interior shelf. Polished cast bronze sabots and escutcheons. Beautiful inset red marble, cut to fit the shaped top, has been replaced. Elegant form with curved corners and scalloped gallery. French Polish finish retains a nice luster. Perfect scale for use as a side table or nightstand. Circa 1900-1920
