A set of three early 20th century French Provencal decorative boxes including a a porte-couteaux, or knife rack, a fariniere, or flour box and a boite à sel, or salt box. Each made of walnut with fine hand-carved decoration and elaborate pierced crest. Waxed patina. These beautifully crafted household items were commonly given as a wedding gift and would be displayed on the wall and used in the kitchen. Circa 1900-1920.
