A pair of 19th century French faience heraldic lion candlesticks by Emile Gallé, hand-painted in opulent cobalt blue. Each lion rises up on hind legs and holds an armored helmet that forms a cup for a candle. Manufactured at the St. Clement Faiencerie in the East of France. The tongue of one lion has broken off. Circa 1880-1900. Each: 11"H x 7"W x 4"D. Weight: 2.2 lbs. each
