An exquisite 18th century French Louis XVI miniature mahogany and walnut marquetry secretaire, or scriban. Beautifully made with bold checkerboard pattern on the sides, three dovetailed drawers decorated with inlaid lily of the valley and tiny brass lion's head ring pulls. The drop leaf desk opens to reveal four small drawers. Book cabinet above with glass paned doors and interior shelf. Fine craftsmanship with dovetailed top and delicate carved trim. Glass panes replaced. . Miniature furniture was used to showcase the craftsmanship of the cabinetmaker.
