A grand 18th c. Louis XV Country French buffet vaisellier from the Alsace Province made of solid oak. Exceptional quality with fine hand carvings throughout. Buffet has four dovetailed drawers with large pulls and four doors opening to one interior shelf on the right side. Highly detailed carvings including a small crown with the intertwined initials "B & L". Plate rack rests on the buffet and has two fixed 6.25" deep shelves, spaced far enough apart (10", 13.5", 7.5") to display large platters and plates, with beautifully decorative details including turned spindles in the interior corners and a central, scalloped 4.5" shelf. Original hardware with lock and one key. Circa 1770-1790. Unusually large scale at almost nine feet long and eight feet tall. Overall dimensions: 107"w x 20"d x 93"h. Top: 107"w x 6.25"d x 51"h.
