An exceptional Louis XIII style armoire from a chateau in the Southwest of France near the town of Agen. Made of various woods including ebony, lemon and walnut. Magnificent hand-turned twisted columns. Raised panel doors with inlaid details. Original crest with turned finials. Two dovetailed drawers. Six raised panels on each side. Original hardware with two working locks and one key. The inside has two newer shelves. Waxed finish. Circa circa 1720-1730. 110"h x 59.5"w x 31"d. The inside depth is 25.5" and the width of the body is 53.5"
