A comtoise or grandfather clock, c.1860-1880, with polychrome painted pine case and brass embossment. Seven day clock, in working condition and professionally cleaned, strikes on the hour, two minutes after the hour and once on the half. This clock was sold by Cahouet at Corbigny (Corbigny is a commune in the Nièvre department in central France. The city is located next to the Morvan and is one of the five Cities-Doors of Parc naturel régional du Morvan.) Clock keeps good time but needs to be wound once a week.
