For your consideration I am pleased to offer an incredible 19h Century Adirondack American hand-carved Folk Art hat. I have been collecting Folk Art for many years and this is the first time I have ever seen or owned a hand- carved hat. The hat measures 12' inches round and 5' inches tall with a six inch opening. The hat appears to have been worn over the course of many years by the patina wear on the inside. The tiny silver spots on the inside are actually tiny nails that were once applied to shoes at Millinery Shops. I also believe the hat may have belonged to a Millinery Shop perhaps carved by the owner himself? The skill it took to create this hat is nothing of perfection. You will not find an equal anywhere.
