Rare original 5 x 7 inch dry plate glass negative showing William Frank "Doc" Carver in full western attire. Carver was a famed late 19th-century sharpshooter and the creator of a popular diving horse attraction. He traveled with Buffalo Bill at times performing in his Wild West Shows. This glass negative is just part of a historically significant collection of rare 19th century images of Western performers. This particular image of Carver was likely taken in the 1880’s.
