A nice grouping of several 8 x 10 inch photographs from the famed Midlothian, Illinois restaurant named Chuck Cavallinis. The man known as Chuck Cavallini began selling ice cream from his corner "Sweet Shop". The Cavallini family would later own and operate the renowned Cavallini's Restaurant - home of the "Chuck Wagon" dinners - which served patrons from Midlothian, surrounding communities and even Chicago for a half century before closing in 1989. These photographs feature Chuck Cavallini himself in a snapshot with an unidentified celebrity and in another 8 x 10 photograph shows him celebrating his own birthday with family and friends at his club. Each of these large format photographs are housed in their own Cavallini photo folder. Those were the days when local family operated restaurant’s dominated nearly every town and city. Now everywhere you travel across America it’s Applebee’s, Chili’s and endless fast food joints.
