For your consideration I have a exceedingly rare set of Civil War Propaganda playing cards made by the L.Prang & Company in 1865 and illustrated by Homer Winslow. Louis Prang (March 12, 1824 – September 14, 1909) was an American printer, lithographer, publisher, and Georgist. He is sometimes known as the "father of the American Christmas card. The Library of Congress has one known example. Each card that measures 2.5 x 4.5 inches shows hidden images of Civil War political and military figures hidden within the images. One can make out Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis, Sherman and many others. For example the card that states The Janus Willow Tree has a by-line that states how many faces can you count? I cannot stress how rare these cards are. The conditions of the cards are acceptable to fair, given the rarity of the pieces I feel blessed to own them.
