Beautiful high relief wax sculpture of Comforting Angel with grieving widow in the original shadow box frame. This incredible piece came out of a Southern antebellum home that was built in 1788. The display dates from the late Georgian period and still retains the original dimple glass. The gold gilded frame measures 11 ½ x 13 ½ inches and is 3’ inches deep. It is hard to believe that this delicate piece has survived close to 200 years.
