In addition to this resolution the UCV of the Dallas branch touches on other outstanding issues that needed attention.
In regard to W.L.Caball (William Lewis Cabell):

He was a brigadier general in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War and later served as Mayor of Dallas, Texas.
There is much biographical information to be found on Brigadier General Caball and his illustrious military career .
