For your consideration I am offering a scarce c.1930’s Red Indian Gasoline Service Station Premium that came out of a time machine. This premium was awarded to lucky drivers from the McColl-Frontenac Oil Company in Montreal. The hand-made wooden canoe measures 17 .5 inches long and comes with an 11 inch paddle with the Red Indian Logo. An old tattered newspaper article in French shows the Red Indian Advertisement and its marathon blue fuel. This article was stuffed inside the canoe and without question was advertising the premium or event to obtain this special canoe and paddle. I would assume that was a local premium and not offered throughout Canada. Either way it’s certain to be a special addition to any early gasoline advertising collection.
