Historically intriguing lot of two items from the William Holland Edwards family formally of Cardiff, Wales. The most significant item being a framed bookplate showing the coat of arms of William Holland Edwards that dates from the 19th century. The second framed piece shows the Edward’s Hall in Cardiff, Wales in the United Kingdom. These pieces appear to have been proudly framed by a descendant around the first part of the 20th century. The University of Delaware holds a similar bookplate in the libraries institutional collection. There is a great deal of research to be found on the net of the Edwards Family that directly details William Holland Edwards.
Framed Bookplate measures 5’ x 7 inches. Edwards Castle at Cardiff Wales measures 9' ½ x 11 inches. Either piece has not been inspected outside of the period noted frame.
