(Scarce) c.1940’s House of David Basketball Team Broadside featured in Eton,Ohio. The bearded Israelite s were slatted against the Murray “Reds.” The feature star of this game was “Tiny” Reichert a gigantic man at 8 feet and one-inch. Gilbert Reichert played basketball for the House of David Israelites, a team of five who all grew beards and the Cleveland Clowns. He was known as Tiny Reichert and Tiny Burnette.
He was billed as "The Motion Picture Giant" due to his appearance in Cecil B. DeMille's production of "The Greatest Show on Earth" (1952). This colossal match up cost 35 cents and featured warm up entertainment with boxing matches. The poster measures 11’ x 15 inches and has been folded. This broadside would look fabulous matted and shrink wrapped or framed.
