Fresh from a local St. Augustine estate is this Civil War era Virginia photo album that contains 23 tintypes and cdv's.
Including a scarce carte de visite of famed California Frontiersman Seth Kinsman by Alexander Gardner. Gardner's imprint on the verso states he is the Official photographer of the Army of the Potomac. There are identifications of a number of the portraits.
A sketched map of United States is attached in the album with the sentiments of dissolving the Union written below.
These folks faces drip of Southern pride. Without question these men served in the Confederate Army.
