Unique relic that was privately sold by the caretakers of the Rembrandt House Museum in Amsterdam,Holland in the year 1902. Period identification and provenance is attached on the inside of the lid along with museum identification numbers are engraved on the bottom. The tobacco box is brass and measures 5' inches in length and 3' inches in width and roughly one-inch in height.

Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (July 15, 1606 or 1607– October 4, 1669) is generally considered one of the greatest painters in European art history and the most important in Dutch history.

I would say if this tobacco box could speak it would speak volumes.
