Tintype photo of Cousin It Dick Van Dyke and Mexican Prison contestants

For your enjoyment and consideration I am offering an exceptional Victorian era tintype photograph showing a day of leisure with an animated group of the state of Maine lake country sun bathers. Some of the ladies are physically challenged in the appealing sense and would likely be safe in a Mexican men's prison. The lady to the far left has brought along her date that resembles "Cousin It" to enjoy the festivities of bottled ale and toxic canned herring. Please take a moment to check out the burly muscular lass relaxing on the rock of ages in turn leaning her burly elbow on the shoe of the one- legged man, indeed a peeping Tom would be challenged to conduct his job with this lass. On the foreground you have a Dick Van Dyke impersonator totting the straw hat making moves to the only decent looking female on the rock.

The image is dated August of 1882 and has excellent tonality for an early large format outdoor tintype.

5' x 7 inches in very good condition.
