For your consideration a fine collection of Boston Red Sox original unpublished 8" x 10 glossy photographs from their spring training headquarters in Winter Haven, Florida. The photographs were taken by a deceased local photographer who lived in Winter Haven and knew the players personally. The photographs were taken during the spring training from the years 1985 through 1986. There are a huge number of negatives of the players in the green photo envelopes that come with this collection. There are some uncommon candid shots and without question excellent photography.
1986 was the year the Red Sox tore the hearts out of Red Sox nation. I recall this team emotionally destroying the Angels when Dave Henderson hit "the home run" off Donnie Moore. Like a Shakespearean tragedy, the Red Sox had the same dagger thrust into their hearts in game six of the World Series during that year.
Baseball unlike any other sport has a soul with an unforgiving memory.
