There is no ugly swan in this family. Each piece is simply beautiful. Mother swan is actually a covered dish. She has eight applied pink roses on the bottom bowl and two on the cover. She has eight applied light blue five pedaled flowers and eighteen leaves on her body. The cover handle is the head and neck of a young cygnet. The cover rests in the lip of the body of the mother. I do find some pedals of the roses rougher to the touch but not so distinctive that I would say it was broken. She is so graceful with her gilded gold color on her folded wings. Her second cygnet has four medium applied roses on the wings. She also has the blue five pedaled size applied flowers as mom has. The wings form a more cup like open dish. The third cygnet looks up proudly with its bright gold colored beak and is the smallest in size but actually has some of the larger flowers. The wings are also tipped with gilded gold. I purchased these pieces from the original owner's family and was told they had always been together as long as they could remember. There are no marks of identification on these pieces. Shipping weight is 3 pounds. The detail work on this swan family makes them a magnificent and elegant.
