Glittered Carnival prize Chalkware prancing white HorseGlittered Carnival prize Chalkware prancing white HorseGlittered Carnival prize Chalkware prancing white Horse

Years ago carnival prizes were not stuffed animals but carnival chalkware. These pieces of plaster were very fragile, brightly colored and crudely made and often barely made it home. This horse is a wonderful specimen of color and glitter. The white horse has glitter on its black mane and halter. The base is colored a combination of burgundy and blue. There are no markings on this piece of identification. This regal figure is glittered only on one side which is typical of these pieces. Sometimes these pieces were won at State Fairs in the 1920's to the 1940's. There are a few dots where the paint has come off but that is typical of a piece this age and carnival ware. Please see the picture for details. He stands 11 inches tall and the base is 3 inches wide. Shipping weight is 3 pounds.
