Child Microscope lab Porter Microcraft 1956

This child science Microscope Lab set comes in a metal box with blue, black and white graphics on the front. It reads “Porter Science prepares Young America for World Leadership”. It also reads ” Porter Microcraft Microscope lab”. The side reads “ The Porter Chemical Co. Hagerstown, MD, Made in USA , Patent Applied for.” It has a black metal microscope which has the mirror and lens intact is 9 inches tall with a base that is 2 ½ inches by 3 ½ inches. The box measures 13 ½ inches tall, 3 ¾ inches thick and 10 1/2 inches across. . It does move up and down and the wheel also rotates. It has 3 labels for lens powers of 425, 225 and 70. It has two fold out 4 page books. One reads Porter Microcraft manual, Exploring the wonders of the invisible world. It explains how to examine many things from celery leaves to dissecting a honey bee. That book reads 1956. The other book is called “Secrets of Nature” and is dated 1957. That explains about amoeba and examining blood to name a few. It has two slides included. There is a red metal holder that holds a test tube reading salmon eggs but is empty. There are two other tubes. The other side has 6 tiny boxes blue and white boxes which actually hold hay infusion, cover slips, slide labels, fiberous specimens, feathers and lens cleaners. It also has an eye dropper and a tiny wrench. There are also two red handle slide holders. I believe this set has all the pieces although some test tubes are empty. This set appears to have been used slightly. The party that sold me the set had taped the front with wide tape across the box. I was able to remove most of it but there are remnants on the blue pamphlet and on the blue cardboard insert under the microscope. I did use clear tape to carefully hold the red holder in the box and also the slides. The box does have a few tiny scratches and one long one on the front right corner on the black microscope image. I found a thick piece of clear plastic which I will tape on the two sides to hold the items when shipped . It also has a closure as well. Weight is 3 pounds
