This is a stunning cobalt blue pitcher. The maker is unknown. It stands 6 ½" high. It is 4 ¼" from the lip to the edge. The neck is 3" from the top to the bulb like body. The body is smooth to the touch on the outside, but appears to have elongated bubbles throughout the body. The entire pitcher rests on a ½" base. I have been told the handle is called a drop down reeded handle, or a reeded attached handle. The handle reminds me of the
stem of pumpkin. It has a series of deep lines from top to bottom. This is hand blown and has an uneven pontil on the base. Being hand blown there are the usual bubbles throughout the vase. We find no nicks, fleabites, or chips anywhere on this piece. It is in excellent condition. It is a heavy piece.
This would be an awesome addition to a cobalt blue glass collection, or just for decorative purposes.
