This vintage square covered enameled container is much like a refrigerator dish. The white cover has a 1 ½ inch bar handle on top along with a distinctly grooved indentation a half inch in from the edge. The edge of the cover is black as is the top edge of the container. The container is 6 inches square and 3 ¼ inches tall. I see a black bruise on the enamel on the rounded edge of the base about a half an inch long. There are three tiny pitted black dots on the bottom and a white tan chip on the inside edge. There is obvious scratches on the inside of this piece from normal use. The inside of the cover also has 3 black chip dots on the outside edge of the cover bottom. This piece would display well as the piece is very good shape for its age. This is a nice piece of vintage enamel ware that would be great for kitchen use or display
