This Thomas china cup and saucer are so beautiful. The cup etched in a ¼ inch gold stripe has straight sides and measures 3 inches across. It has a gold handle that resembles a reversed letter "c" with attaching bars. The handle is very angular. The gold rim slips slightly into the cup in a few places. The cup has the word Thomas in a shield as it's mark in the center. The saucer has an irregular edge with gold and green on it. The edge has numerous small green dots laid on a green background. The edge of the saucer is somewhat scalloped. The center of the saucer has a gold band on the ridge where the cup sits that is slightly worn for about an inch. The saucer has a green area ¾ of an inch wide around the edge. This green is a soft Christmas green with three leaf stems in cream every inch and a half along the inner edge. The inside of the saucer center is white. The back of the saucer has no color or marks and is white. The cup and saucer have a weight of 1 pound. This cup would make a nice addition to your cup collection.
