This oval mid century shaped planter has an unusual sandy rough texture feel on the outside of its body. The piece has a short smooth dark brown pedestal. The pedestal base measures 6 ½ inches by 3 inches by ½ inches high. The lower part of the planter body has a bump type organized pattern all around. The inside glaze of the planter is shiny cocoa brown with a rough sandy edge. It also has a tier type shape in the inside with a ½ inch hole in the base 3 inches deep. This planter is marked Haeger. Haeger pottery closed in May of 2016 after more than 100 years of operation. One of the historical places that their pottery was displayed was the Chicago World Fair. they initially started making bricks. The base of the planter reads USA 0300 in black writing. A very distinctive speckled textured planter that would look neat with an unusual cactus in it.
