This is such a unique piece! It is a geisha girl holding her fans and standing in an ashtray. This is a very large piece. It stands 15" from base to top. The Japanese girl stands 13" tall and the base is about 12" across. This piece is done in the colors of pink and speckled gold seen a lot in the 1960's. The ashtray has two cigarette rests and five cigar rests on the base. The base rests on three small feet. The geisha girl is dressed in a beautiful kimono which is colored in pink iridescent color. Small blue flowers drape the neckline and down the edges of the kimono. The obi is pink in color with gold accents, and tied in an intricate bow in the back. She holds two white and gold fans in her delicate hands. Her hair is done up in the typical fashion of a dancer and her headpiece is richly colored in gold and blue to match the flowers. Her shoes are gold tone, and she wears white socks. She has a sweet smile on her face. She has beautifully arched eyebrows and thick lashed eyes. The colors are bright and true. She appears to be hand painted. There are no nicks, chips, or fleabites noted. She is in excellent condition. Although the original use was for an ashtray, it easily could also work as an accent piece and the base ashtray could have greenery added to it, as well, to accent her beauty. Shipping weight is 7 pounds. This piece is very distinctive and would be a beautiful addition to any room.
