This set of 2 cups and saucers is in milk white and from the 1950's. According to the book Hazel-Atlas Glass by G. Florence these little pieces were for after dinner coffees or children. The Hazel Atlas "kiddie type sets" in Platonite moderntone were sometimes little hostess sets. The saucer is 4 ½ inches wide and the cup is 2 ¼ inches tall and 2 ½ inches wide. The cup bows slightly out at the top and has a rounded handle with a straight top. When you hold your hand up behind the cup or saucer you can see your hands shadow. I see no cracks or chips and one rough spot on the saucer that appears to be a manufacture flaw. The weight of these pieces for shipping is 2 pounds. There are no markings on these pieces for identification.
