This 1979 book called "The Black Hole by Alan Foster" was based on the Walt Disney Film by Jeb Rosebrook and Gerry Day. This book comes with dust jacket in black with huge red letters. This is a book club edition. The printed dedication in the front of this book reads "For Unca Walt, who made it all possible,...." Obviously Walt Disney was involved in the publication and the film version of this book. The book has clean bright pages and a firm binding. The only wear seen is the dust jacket. This book is about 5 people in a deep-space life-search ship whose robot encounters a black hole and what they learn. Reading the last line of the book jacket sums up the story "They never considered that some mysteries are better left unsolved". This book has 186 pages and 12 chapters. There are no illustrations in this book. Published by Ballantine books the red book is in good shape. The book jacket is in fair shape and has rips and tears on the upper edges. The spot on the cover and back of the book in the picture is made by the sheen of the jacket and the flash from my camera and is not there really. This is an interesting piece of 70's space science fiction that would be enjoyable to own.
