Here is a beautiful piece of pottery. This piece appears to be clay pottery. Bathed in brown and tan tones of flowers, leaves and feathers the painting of this piece is very unique and appealing. The pitcher is 8 ½ inches tall and over 7 inches wide. The painting on this piece reminds one of rosemaling. There is a thin glaze over the whole piece. There are a few spots where the piece has flaws in it, some appear to be part of the crude structure of the pitcher. The bottom has a penciled number 95 with the initials RHN I believe. It is difficult to read as it is very faint but appears to be under the glaze. The inside of the piece is rough and unglazed and tan in color. This item weighs 3 pounds. The unfinished look of this piece makes it quite appealing and fragile. This would be a wonderful piece to display.
