This unusual emerald green glass checkered vase is actually oval rounded in shape. Although that is a contradiction it best describes its shape. Scalloped and rimmed at it's narrow top it measures 5 ½ inches round. Although when you look from the top down on this vase it bulges out at the side and is oval in its shape. Then it narrows again at the bottom to form a slight pedestal base with a hob nail look but definitely in a oval shape. The center part is has a very unique pattern of clear squares of green glass alternating with squares of textured raise green glass. It measures 5 inches tall and is rather pretty. This makes this piece appear as if it is checked. The bottom reads A.R.L. Co., R-18 which is embedded right in the glass. We see no cracks or chips in this vase. Pretty just standing alone or with a fresh floral or silk bouquet this would be very pretty and a conversation piece.
