Hallmarked English decanter with sterling silver pour spout and faceted crystal stopper. The crystal bottle is beautifully cut in a classic thistle pattern. Sterling marks are for London 1896 with a makers mark of CS&FS for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders and James Francis Shepherd who were in business from 1894-1928. The mouth of the spout has 4 pouring stations. There is one small crack to the crystal bottle inside the neck as shown in that photo; it is internal and doesn't affect the functionality of the piece but the price does reflect this flaw on an otherwise excellent piece. Measures 6 3/4" tall; base is 2 3/4" in diameter as is the round thistle section. This piece is made for placing on your bar filled with a vintage sherry.
