Charming Stirrup cup for that last drink of the day. Called a "Night Cap" because of its shape, it was meant to be held until the last drop was gone. Marked for EPNS with the makers mark for Francis Howard Ltd, a Sheffield firm that was in business from 1870-1974. This piece is probably from the 2nd half of the 20th century. The lining is typical Sheffield gilt in excellent condition as is the silver plate. A witty and functional addition to any collection. Measures 2 5/8" tall and 2 7/8" diameter at the base.
