It's not very often that one comes across an Antique Wagner Ware Stovetop Waffle Iron that includes the Cast Iron Stand. Through the years they usually became separated or lost. Aside from a dip in the sink, this one is as we found it. It's great for cooking indoors or outdoors on an open fire or grill. This one appears to have been used only indoors, even possibly over a wood stove, as the base is quite clean and free from any heavy char; there is a mild amount of rust that is normal for cast iron but for the most part retains its original gloss-black color; it is not crumbling. The surface of the stand is quite smooth. Stand has bale handle and measures 10 ¾ inches diameter; top diameter is 7 6/8 inches, with the slot where waffle iron rests it is 9 inches across. Waffle Iron measures 14 ¾ inches long including handles; waffle grid is 7 ¼ inches in diameter divided into 4 sections. Wood handles are in good condition. Embossed on Waffle Iron is Wagner Ware Sidney -0- 828 Pat'd Feb. 22, 1910. Step back in time and savor some real waffles.
