Offered here is a DAZEY No.8 Butter Churn with Tulip shaped Jar and Red Football shaped Mechanism at top, dating back to early 1900s (1930-40). And it’s in unbelievably good usable condition. The inside rim edge of the jar has a rough area with some nicks. This is found on only one side of the inner rim and likely happened from years of putting in and taking out the paddle mechanism. Aside from that, the glass jar is super clear and clean with relief printing on the bottom that reads: DAZEY CHURN PAT. APP. FOR NO 8 MADE IN ST. LOUIS MO. USA DAZEY CORPORATION. The mechanical works are located inside the red football shaped housing at the top. There is some mild loss of color. Turn the side handle and watch the wooden paddles spin inside the jar — it works great! And the paddles are clean with no splintering or cracks. The chrome lid has some rusting and has lost its shininess around the outer edge, but it is not heavily corroded but smooth. Stamped in the top is DAZEY CHURN No. 8 — 8 QT. Strainer/opening in the lid is removable and can be put back easily, and it’s free from rust. Printed on the lip edge is PUSH. The Churn stands 14 ¾ inches high by 9 ½ inches across widest part of jar and would look real neat on a kitchen counter. The item is in what I consider good to excellent age-related condition. I don’t know about you, but I might even fill it with goodies, when not churning butter, that is. I like it. Sales tax for all states that require it must be added and is calculated on purchase price including shipping and handling.
