Offered here is an early 1900’s primitive Tin Sifter with Slide Handle. Embossed on the outside of the container, is One Cup and Two Cups-Full, Made in USA. To use: hold the sifter in one hand and slide the heavy wire loop handle from side to side; and it still works smoothly! The sifter measures 7 ½ inches long including handle; container measures 3 inches high by 3 ½ inches in diameter. The sifter is clean, and in very good age-related condition and the screen is securely intact with no rips or catches. The screen is amazingly free from heavy corrosion. There is mild rust coloring under and around the upper cup rim edge and a few other spots. This is considered expected wear for something this vintage. It’s aged rather well and has a very nice patina and color. Sales tax must be collected for buyers living in or picking up in New York State. Local tax rate applies.
