Offered is a 19th Century Oblong Bentwood Box in Original Green Paint. It is marked C.R.H. on the lid top. The box is in excellent condition and measures 12-1/2 inches long by 4 inches wide by 3-1/4 inches high. This is one of several items purchased from the same estate, one of which was signed, (CH), by Cotton Hersey from Hingham, MA, (1792-1881). Cotton Hersey, son of Ruben Hersey, was a cooper and toy maker, who made many beautiful pieces sought after by collectors.
