Offered here is a manually stamped (Late 1880s-early 1900s) Rosette Horse Brass to be attached to leather harness. It measures 3 3/8 inches in diameter and is bee hive shaped. It is English and is in age-related condition. A horse brass is a decorative medallion attached to horse harness tack (Martingales or straps) for shire and parade horses. At the top is slot where medallion can be buckled onto strap. These were quite popular in England during mid-19th century. They remain a collector’s item today. Brass is as we found it.
