Offered here is a wonderful Early 19th Century New England Dough Box with Tray sided lid. Inside box is divided. Double compartments were used to raise the dough and to keep an extra ball of dough on hand and ready to bake. The piece measures 42 ½ inches long with top on (without top on it measures 41 7/8) by 16 inches wide by 31inches high. Inside box depth is 12 ¾ inches; outside depth with lid on measures 14 ¾ inches. Dough Box is clean and in excellent age related condition with a rich natural patina only acquired through years of use. These dough boxes look terrific when used as a sofa table; also make great storage. Sales tax must be collected for buyers living in or picking up in New York State. Local tax rate applies.
