Offered here is a lovely riverbank landscape etching on silk in monochromatic-sepia tones. Flowering lily pads and cattails can be found in and along the stream inlet. The large tree at right looks to be a white birch. The etching could possibly be of the Hudson River Valley area. Etching is in original period gold frame behind glass and board backed. In the top left corner is printed: Copyright 1886 by Fishel, Adler and Schwartz. It appears to be pencil signed on bottom right corner, but is difficult to make out. Actual image measures 11 x 20. Frame opening is 21 ½ x 12; outside frame measures 24 ½ x 15 ¼. Frame is in very good to excellent age related condition as is art work. Etching found in upstate NY. Sales tax must be collected for buyers living in or picking up in New York State. Local tax rate applies.
