Offered here is a c.1800s Tin Animal Cookie Cutter with secure handle. Cookie Cutter is in age related condition. The fun part about collecting these primitive cutters is that there are many more uses for them today. I've seen decorative cord or ribbon attached and then hung on Christmas trees or spray painted branches. When hung in groups they make very pretty sounding wind chimes too. They are great for craft projects. Would I use them to cut out real cookie dough? I would if they were scrubbed clean and the actual inside shape was not too overly rusty. As for rust, I'm sure back in the 1800s they dealt with the rust issue also. Cutter measures 4 ½ inches long by 2 ½ inches wide. Sales tax must be collected for buyers living in or picking up in New York State. Local tax rate applies.
