Found this great c. 1900s American Tole Painted Canister in New Hampshire. It is signed Gina Martin on bottom. The canister measures 7 1/4 inches in diameter and stands 7 1/4 inches tall. Gina Martin 1919-2006 Wapping, Ct., Lois Tucker co-authors of American Painted Tinware first published in 1997. Gina Martin's painted tinware is quite collectible. This storage tin with latch front closing and ring top handle is painted in traditional Tole designs and historically correct colors. The floral is just beautiful. It is in age related condition with mild flaking on the top; there is a slight ¼ inch ding in the top rim edge. These type mars are quite normal to tin pieces.
