Offered is an H. Chapin, Antique Bench Plane manufactured by the Union Factory in Pine Meadow, Connecticut, during the years 1828-1860. It is 26” long by 3-1/4” wide by 7-1/4” high to top of handle. The steel blade is “Butchers Steel” made by a tool company that is not very clear. The owner’s name, L.C. French is imprinted on the plane. It is in pretty good condition considering its age. Sales tax must be collected for buyers living in or picking up in New York State or Massachusetts. Local tax rate applies.
