Found this neat ca. late 1930s early 1940s, Green with White Speckles Ice Chest/Cooler in upstate NY in Tupper Lake, Adirondacks. It measures 17 ½ inches long by 8 ¾ inches wide by 10 ½ inches high. The interior is galvanized and in clean usable condition. Inside you will also find included, a removable, what I will call a “freezer compartment.” This has a secure fitting lid with loop at top. This container insert measures 7 ¼ inches wide by 4 1/8 inches deep by 9 ½ inches high and is in amazingly clean usable condition with no rust or dents. The cooler also comes with top cover and bale handle with green wooden grip. Aside from some fading and the sides showing wear in paint from oxidation and just being used, it is what I would consider a usable ice chest. The bottom is also galvanized and in good condition. There are no major dents in the cooler, only a small, line ding on the top of the cover. All seams are tight. It’s a pretty nice piece. Please see photos for more detailed look.
