Clapsaddle card painting copyright in 1909 by S. Garre. I bought a huge postcard collection some time back and while sorting them I noticed many of them were addressed to the same woman. She must have been very popular with the guys as there are cards signed by many, many young gentlemen. I wish I knew what Miss Tillie Oesinghaus looked like...she was either very beautiful or very charming!
This card is from her one and only girl friend....that I found in the collection...Katie mailed this card to Tillie probably in 1909 or 1910. There is a one cent Benjamin Franklin stamp attached but it missed the post marking person. Printed in Germany, beautiful and vibrant colors the condition is very good for its age with only soil and slightly rounded corners. The most important thing is the sparkling turkey is all there!
