The Rossow Midgets were a vaudeville boxing act that pitted German brothers Fritz and Carl Actmeier against each other. These Little People were managed by Herman Rossow and appeared on both the British and American state in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
This is a cabinet photo mounted on stiff card stock, in sepia tone black and white and measures 4 1/4" x 6 1/2". It has the embossed name and address of the photographer on the bottom of the image but it didn't show well in the image. The reverse of the card has ornate advertising for the photographer who was found on Market Street in San Francisco. There are two areas of paper loss, one on the top and another on the bottom, from probably being in a frame or an album. Good vintage condition of the image. Sepia toned.
