Vintage Art Deco Era Celluloid Double Wedding Ring Box with stylized floral and egg and dart design. Presented to the happy couple when they purchased rings from H. E. Nickels, Jeweler in Reedsport Oregon. Made by W. & S. company of New York this box makes a beautiful statement and would be a lovely addition to a wedding ceremony. The label inside the box is only temporary and could be removed and you could add your own statement...add a sweet message to remember from your wedding! I love this..."Grow old along with me, The best is yet to be, The last of life for which the first was made". You'll open this box 50 years after your wedding and read this message, or another, and memories will come flooding back!
2"x2 1/2" and the dome height is about 1 1/2". Some small discoloration and a slight bowing or off shape in the back (see my pics). But all in all in good vintage condition.
Celluloid is also call French Ivory, but it is NOT ivory. Celluloid is an early plastic.
