English Embroidered Glass and Filigree Vanity Tray Vintage
We believe this is from around the 1920s.The exquisite Lace work is sandwiched between 2 pieces of glass. ?Wood? slats, on underside, mount glass into the gold-tone metal frame. Off-white lace work features flowers & leafy vines. Center circle features multicolored, embroidered flower bunch. Filigreed handles feature centered leaves surrounded by beaded lines. Frame has a beaded edge & interior flower-with-leaves repetitive design.
Tray approximately 11-3/8” long x 6-7/8” wide x 1” tall. Add about 3/8” width, all around, for angled frame. Add about 7/8”, for extension of handles.
Excellent condition Lace & Needlework. Very Good Frame—turning green, in spots, & has some wear; Good Wood Mounts—one is chipped; all showing cracks; but, they’re doing their job plus you can’t see them anyway as they’re tucked away underneath.
Beautiful to keep and use or just display.
