From the 1880s, this sterling silver marked Simons thimble shows ten panels along it's rim, alternating plain panels with panels decorated with a double diagonal slash bordered by tiny trefoil-style engravings.
Inside the apex is the traditional Simons mark, except this is the early – and very tiny – Olde English 'S' inside a shield, confirming the 19th century dating.
It's in very good condition, with no holes, creases or other problems. It is in round. A lovely thimble!
